Will Bunch, on the NFL's decision to delay the Vikings-Eagles game to Tuesday:

They don't play American football in China, but I believe that if they did, not only would they have played this game, but 300,000 fans would have marched barefoot through the drifts for 15 miles to get to the stadium, drilling each other with advanced calculus problems as they walked.

Reiterated the next day by former PA Governor Ed Rendell:

If this was in China, do you think the Chinese would have called off the game? He's right, the people would have been marching down to the stadium, they would have walked, and they would be doing calculus on the way down.

Sure the intent of the discussion was to go after the NFL and not really the Chinese.  You can argue that it's just a bad choice of words but I guess ultimately it was supposed to be a compliment?  Because that's what Chinese folks do, right?

Math problems.  For fun.  In a blizzard.  After our library naps, obviously.
